Take Me Out To The Ballpark

Posted by ejsmalljr@gmail.com on January 9, 2013 at 7:30 PM

Who would have guessed an Irish man in a skirt kilt could write a book? Local author

Brian Sheehan has not only wrote one book, Legend of the Lions {which sold out}, but

has recently published his second book, "Take Me Out To The Ballpark."

This book focuses on capturing the history of Rushville high school baseball while

also incorporating other baseball stories dating back to 1895. Season summaries, team

pictures, top ten list, and local baseball trivia are only a few of the features that can be

found in this 200+ page book.

A note from Brian as featured in the Rushville Republican: “It is my hope that this

book will provide entertainment and conversation to local baseball players and fans by

celebrating the game, as well as, the players and the coaches who have participated over

the years. I also hope the stats section will inspire the next generation of Lion baseball

players to work hard, play hard and achieve the results that will put them on many of the

top ten lists in the years to come.”

This piece of history is on sale for $25 at the Rushville Pharmacy or by contacting Brian

Sheehan at 765.561.5193 or via e-mail at shamrocksheehan@gmail.com.

And the best part? Not only will you learn more about the history of Rush County

baseball, but all of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the Historical Society

and Rush County Youth Baseball!
