The Rush County Chamber of Commerce announced that local couple, George and Sandy Coons have been selected as this year's "Outstanding Citizen's of the Year." The Coons were recognized for their 25 years of coordinating the annual July 4 fireworks show, as well as, organizing several parades throughout the years. They are only the 2nd couple in the history of the award to be selected. The first being Bob and Marian McGraw.
