I was an EMT-A and ER Tech for over 3 years in Harrson County Indiana and I have worked in conjunction with Chiropractors, MDs, and Psychotherapists, in Harrison,Clark, and Floyd counties in Indiana. I had my own practice from 1991 to 1995 in Jeffersonville, In. I have over 3000 hours + in training hours and have been doing this part-time for over 30 years.  I have been in business here in Rush county for 2 yrs. +++++++++ MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE ? +++++++ Are you an Administrator, or a DON at a Healthcare Facility ? Are your employees plagued by back injuries ? Statistics have shown that a regularly scheduled back care program, to include immediate treatment at the time of injury, will greatly reduce time off and recuperation times. Muscle relaxers and pain pills sometimes mask, and further injure the person. Don't let that happen to your "healthcare family". Call for details today. I can help. 765-561-5315
If you are not an Administrator, DON, or Office manager, but know someone who is, please "share" this information. Have a great evening.

What to expect in a Bodywork session.

1. Call, email, message, etc. for an appointment or consult. ( at this time we will decide what your concerns are, as in general stress management or a specific problem. We will also discuss house call vs. coming to me.)
2. The appointment. This is not a spa massage so there will not be any disrobing. Please dress comfortably with no buttons or zippers down the back. I have worked with professional people on lunch break, secretary, bank teller, etc. Sweat clothes, heavy sweaters, and so on, are treatment prohibitive. This will be discussed in the initial contact.
Standard sessions are set up for 1/2 hour and 1 hour, although your session will be tailored for your specific need. There have been shorter and longer over the years.
3. After the appointment. We may discuss ways to help you deal with stress on a day to day basis. Lifestyle changes, dietary changes, etc. These matters are not discussed with any one else. Client confidentiality is a priority.
Some people may experience soreness or a slight headache as blood flow is restored and toxins move out. In rare cases, some nausea could occur. It is sometimes helpful to do some deep breathing, drink lots of water, and take a warm shower or bath.
There is no age limit to our clients. I have worked with 2 week old babies with colic all the way up to 94 year old persons. I have worked with clients having MS, cancer patients, para and quadriplegic. Also arthritis, Bursitis, and much more.

What is Bodywork ?

Many of us recognize and appreciate the comfort and relaxation a good bodywork session can provide, but few people are aware of the depth of training and skill required in the field. Much more than just a backrub, bodywork is a systematic manipulation of muscle, tissue, and bone. Many clients report feeling more relaxed, more energetic, with less pain and anxiety, and an increased feeling of well being. With today's increased awareness of the effect of stress on our health, women, with their high level of interest in wellness and preventive approaches to healthcare, make up the majority of clients. They, in turn, influence their children to also pay attention to their stress level and it's effects.
Some benefits of Bodywork are a result of increased circulation of body fluids, delivering nutrients to cells, flushing out waste and toxins, and moving lymph fluid throughout the body. It is a non-invasive, medication free approach to better health.
