For nearly 40 years the Rushville Chamber of Commerce has honored an outstanding person with its annual Citizen of the Year award. If you wish to nominate an individual who meets or exceeds the following criteria, please submit a narrative not to exceed 200 words and biographical information about the nominee. Nominations often include letters of support from industry and community leaders; such letters are helpful, but not required. The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2014.
The Citizen of the Year award is presented to the individual who:
1) Has made major contributions to the betterment of Rush Co:
2) Has been distinguished through outstanding service to his/her community and region; and
3) In the judgment of the Special Selections Committee typifies the true spirit of service and self-sacrifice in representing the finest ideals of Rush Co. Citizenship.
4) Members of the Rush County Chamber board are ineligible to be nominated
If you submit information from publications to support your nomination, please identify the source. Rather than personal testimonials, letters of support should be from people in positions that allow objective evaluation of the nominee’s qualifications.
