2003 census figures, the median age of the population is 37.7, with a population

or higher, and an additional 10 percent have a bachelor's degree or higher – representing
an impressive increase from the previous census. Rush County is currently

universities are available at College Cooperative Southeast, a state-of-the-art
adult learning center in Rushville.
Regionally, area employers can draw from a significant population and
labor force base. According to 2003 census figures, the population for
Rush County and the adjacent six (6) counties is some 241,397. The labor
force for this seven (7) county region is some 126,275 (based on 2003 Indiana
Department of Workforce Development figures).
