The Trane Company in Rushville is manufacturer of components for air conditioners. Trane's parent company is American Standard. Milroy in Rush County is home to Harcourt Industries , a family-owned business and manufacturer / distributor of school supplies to over 13,000 schools in all 50 states. The company employs 80 full time people and hires several college students during the summer months filling back-to-school orders for August. The business has expanded to include the commercial market. Likewise, an ECDC small business revolving loan program offered through a USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant has assisted many start-up businesses in Rush County . The financial expertise of the County banks - MainSource Bank, Citizen's State Bank, First Indiana, First Financial Bank and Wells Fargo - is readily available to assist businesses too.
